"Is it worth it?" A Review On Nobu

Nobu has become a notable name in the world of sushi, with long waitlists and pricey menus that keep people coming back for more. The allure of spotting a celebrity and the sense of luxury is undeniable, but is it really worth it for the food? Many would argue that there are better options out there for a fraction of the cost. In this blog, we'll explore why Nobu is overpriced and hyped up, and whether it's worth your money. While some may argue that the quality of the fish and unique dishes make it worth it, others would say you can find just as good sushi elsewhere. If you're determined to try Nobu, we'll also offer a tip: consider going for drinks and small bites before committing to a full meal, as a way to enjoy the experience without breaking the bank.

“Is it worth it?” That's the question we ask ourselves every time we're faced with a steep bill and the promise of luxury. And when it comes to dining at Nobu in Malibu, the answer is a bit of a mixed bag.

First off, let's talk about the Malibu location. Perched on Pacific Coast Highway and situated on the exclusive Carbon Beach, this Nobu definitely feels extra luxurious. And the exclusivity doesn't stop there - getting a reservation can be a challenge, with what can feel like never ending wait times on the phone. But, once you’ve secured that reservation and you're finally seated, you'll be surrounded by the chicest of diners and maybe the chance to see a celebrity.

Now, onto the food. There's no denying that the dishes at Nobu are delicious. From the famous Jalapeño Yellowtail to the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, the flavors are bold and exciting. However, the price point does feel a bit steep - $11 per piece of spicy tuna on crispy rice does add up quickly. And, if you're looking for a filling meal, you may be disappointed. You may find yourself stopping by In-N-Out on the way home.

But, as with any dining experience, it's not just about the food. It's about the experience. And that's where Nobu shines. If you're looking to check it off your list of must-try hotspots, or if you're in the mood for a special treat, Nobu is worth a visit. You'll savor the flavors, soak up the atmosphere, and feel like a true A-lister.

So, is it worth it? As with any luxury dining experience, it depends on what you're looking for. But, if you're willing to splurge a bit, Nobu in Malibu is definitely an experience you won't forget.
